ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Klopp said an emotional goodbye to Liverpool at the end of the season following almost a decade in charge of the Reds. The German enjoyed great success at Anfield but managed only one Premier League title, missing out by a single point to Manchester City in 2019 and again in 2022. Manchester City have won the league in six of the last seven years but are under scrutiny currently after being hit with 115 charges for alleged breaches of Premier League regulations.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Manchester City's hearing is due to start in autumn 2024 which has led to speculation about potential punishments if the club are found guilty. There have been claims Pep Guardiola's side could be hit with a big fine, points deductions or even be relegated from the Premier League. There has been speculation that City could even potentially be stripped of their titles, a question that was put to Klopp at a “Danke Jurgen” tribute night at the M&S Bank Arena which was attended by over 11,000 fans.

WHAT KLOPP SAID
A Q&A with Klopp saw comedian John Bishop ask: “You leave this club having won the Premier League once. There could be a court decision that means you’ve won the Premier League three times…”
However, he was then interrupted by the former Liverpool boss who joked: "If you organise a bus parade, I’m in! How long it takes I don’t care.”
